How we began
The Beginning

The Beginning

Inspiration for The Little Flower Farm Co. first came to Sarah Harvey after a visit in sunny California in 2014. There, she observed first hand her aunt’s business in growing all types of organic baby lettuces and supplying those to local restaurants.

With a love of the outdoors, interest in gardening, color and artistry, and an insatiable desire to start her own business, Sarah thought – why not carve out a sustainable cut flower farm from the 18 acres of fields right here at her home in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. Shortly after, she began doing all the research, planning, purchasing, planting, growing, harvesting and selling that was to be her first year and The Little Flower Farm Co. was formed.

In 2016, Sarah joined Joy Donohue, also of Hopkinton, who has experience in writing, corporate communications, and most recently, non-profit fundraising. Together they are looking to expand the business even more bringing the beauty of fresh-cut flowers to people in the Hopkinton area and the MetroWest area.
